I'm going to be the test bunny on this one. This is bought secondhand off someone on ebay. The guy that bought it was not at all impressed and sold it due to a car wreck or selling his vehicle as he stated. Anyhow, $250 plus $20 to my door. I couldn't pass it up. Tust me when i say this it's not at alll nice like the greddy or RIPS or even the top hat intake manifold.

Tust me when i say this it's not at alll nice like the greddy or RIPS or even the top hat intake manifold. It's a replica that needs to be touched up.

I brought a brand new, thicker intake mani gasket from cometic. Like i said, before ina rush to slap this on i got a leak when the car ran, so now iam going to do this the 'right way' so after i smooth out the intake mani flange. I then put some nissan rtv around the coolant galleys on both sides of the intake gasket, just for piece of mind. 1st remove the mani. I installed this when it was outside of the car.

It's needs some sanding to smooth out the rough spots. But if you look at both the greddy and this one they are exactly alike. I have yet to find any discrepancies between the both. Such as moved vaccum ports or any of the sensors that are on there.

This allowed me to free up some room. Use the original 6 12mm bolts that held in the water tube to re-secure the tube. Use the same gasket maker and torque all 6 bolts to 16-21 N-m or 1.6-2.1 kg-m. As you can see from this picture, I had no problem in torque for 5 bolts, but the one bolt that was closest to the camera on the far right (by the water pipe coming from the thermostat) I couldn't get my torque wrench in there for beans.

I did a photo shoot with primedia back in late may and they need my tech sheet along with dyno numbers and I've slacking off on it but deadline is approaching fast. So could anyone help me?

So basically all these copies are made from the originall greddy model. So some are better than others. I opted for this particualr unit. There are also polished models, i didn't need that much flash so i got this one. One of the 1st things you want to do is seal the water neck, either welding or rtv.

Alot of the manifolds that are obvious knock offs have warnings saying they will require professional installation. Im thinking that using the stock RB26det manifold would be better as it changes the amount of turns in my intercooler piping. That is if I can find one. Has anyone bolted one those bad boys up to the 25?

So you think it's self explaintory because there are no instructions?? You think it's easy as bolting on with no mods??? You think there so cheap there not worth buying??? Your wrong on all accounts. So iam gonna tell you the proper way to prep a (Freddy) intake mani for your trusty rb25det.

I don't want to take chances so here's my S.O.S if anyone has the install manual and would email a copy I would so greatful for life. I would even pay for it. If you have close up pics of the manifold undeside installed with coolant/vacume lines attached even better.

Its paid for and should leave on Tue the 18th. I ended up breaking my rules and purchasing from Jhot. They were really inexpensive so it was worth the gamble. I will find out for sure when I get the engine. My reason for the question is that I would like to convert the stock manifold over to the rb26dett style intake manifold. It appears there are several options.

So i got a knock off chinese bad casting greddy im. It's off to the polishing shop tomorrow and hell i might even chrome the outside if the polish isn't what i want it to look like.

Of which the most popular is to use the Greddy or Greddy knockoff manifolds with the single throttle body.

It took me a small fortune of hoses to cut and make the right ones fit. Get a bronze connector t as the plastic ones can't handle the coolant heat.

Don't take off too much as a little bit will do it. You need to hold the file and use mostly your palm in a forward and backward motion to smooth the flange.

Has anyone bolted one those bad boys up to the 25? Another stupid question by yours truely. Completely different bolt pattern. Unless you are good at fabrication, and figuring out vacuum re routing, I'd stick with what you got, or buy the real deal (Greddy) that comes with all the proper documentation/ parts, or you may be in over your head.

The tq spec are 10-12ft lbs iirc. You won't need a tq wrench for these and do it in a sequence starting with the 2 center bolts, then work your way outward. Install the mani and boom there you go.

By the way i did get a new intake gasket from b&e. Don't hate cause i'm cheap! Don't let it fool you.

Not to be cheeky but when people say the copy ones what sort of problems have they had? I was looking at the plazema group buy now they are good quality units but i dont want to spend too much and also want to have one powder coated to match other bits under the car. Has anyone used the japspeed one for sale by JDM Garage it looks to be good for me. Im thinking about purchasing it and fitting it but unsure what is involved will certainly give feedback on it once fitted. Just feel people are negative about things without themselves owning or trying things.

I have yet to find any discrepancies between the both. Such as moved vaccum ports or any of the sensors that are on there. Modified by KUILLIN_DRIFTER at 4:18 PM 10/3/2006. As i know of yes. I'm going to be the test bunny on this one. This is bought secondhand off someone on ebay.

RB25 and RB26 intake ports just the same, but other holes are diferent. I have a couple thoughts about adapters, but still not sure if i'll be able to craft them. I believe they're just the same on 26 and 25st1, but i have 25st2 engine (pink maf).

I'm thinking about rb26 intake right now. I want to install front-oriented intake manifold. (there's always some 'but'.) The only thing i can afford with my low budget - greddy knock-off. And there is a little problem with it. Stock intake mani is not so simple. It distributes air more equally between cylinders than greddy do. With greddy you'll get rear cylinders running rich.

If you guys want pics of the inside and outside. I'll be more than glad to show anyone. Looks descent. Just poor casting. Can not beat $250 for manifold plus 150 for smoothing it out and polish.
